Thomas Nuttall of Tottington Hall, born c.1560. Heir of Thomas and Katherine. Legatee under the will of his father, and admitted to the copyhold lands of his father in 1609. Married Helen, daughter of Richard Smethurst of Broad Oak near Whalley, at Edenfield in Bury, January 1612-13. The marriage licence bond was issued by the Diocese of Chester on 1 January 1612-13. His will is also dated 1 January 1612-13, so it is probable that he wrote this in order to name Helen as legatee. Thomas died in 1614 and was buried at Bury Parish Church on 12 August 1614. On 13 August 1614 the inventory of his possessions was approved and his will was proved in the Consistory Court in Chester on 14 Febrary 1614-15. He was survived by his wife, Helen, who died before 1623.
